Do you wake up everyday feeling empty? You don’t know how to get motivated and you feel like you are in a mental rut. These kinds of feelings are common and there are certain simple things you can do to get out of this mental clog.

1. Change your morning and night routine.

This is one of the most effective ways I have found to get out of the mental rut. If I plan my day the night before, the next day seems to be more positive. You must also try to end the day positively. Perhaps write a gratitude list, or do meditation, or simply visualize running the next day more effective. You cannot believe how effective this simple routine change helps people. In the similar way your mornings are important, read or listen to something positive and also include workout in your routine. You cannot but feel motivated.

2. List of goals

Another simple way to get out of the rut is to write a list of goals. I write my goals daily. This keeps me focused on things that are important to me. And the present mental rut will not seem like a big issue. You must also accompany visualizing along with these written goals. If you are in need of extra motivation to come out of the mental clog then write 100 goals to achieve before I die goals. And take action on it immediately.

3. Do nothing

Sometimes the best way to get out of this rut is to do nothing. Think about nothing. Just take a walk, read a book, and listen to music. Ironically just trying be at the present is an effective way to break out of all mental clogs.
