Have you tamed your Monkey Brain?

I thought I have rather solved the problem of Monkey Brain. But that was far from the truth. Just when I was working out a rhythm to work some outstanding idea popped up. Being pressed for time and working really hard on deadlines, I entered the flow-state thereby accomplishing a bunch of things in a couple of weeks. This in turn arouses a thought, ‘if I can do anything with such an adrenaline then I can achieve a lot, can’t I?’ Unfortunately, soon after the deadline projects, I was knocked out by the tortoise spirit and began to procrastinate.

Well, this is a mistake. I learned a lesson that frantic work is good but cannot be sustained and atomic habits are better than massive 10x. Preferably, short deadlines with certain habitual activities would accomplish things.

Some tips to tame the Monkey Brain:

  • Set goals with deadlines
  • Keep up your daily habits
  • Sprint now and then to achieve your goals
  • Fix a day to rest completely

Due to humdrum mindless ideas on productivity & success, it is prudent to follow principles and ideas that actually would suit your life. It seems that even success principles must be accepted with a pinch of salt!
