Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman Review

Norse mythology is a wonderful mythological fiction written by Neil Gaiman. He has written so many notable and worthy works for adults as well as children. His works express new ideas to the literary world. From his works we can get a lot of ideas for research.

Neil Gaiman narrative style is simply awesome. In Norse Mythology the narrator himself will narrator the story with the effect of old myths. First of all, people are eager to know about the mythological factors used from ancient days. His narrative style creates eagerness to move on from one chapter to another chapter. The story is about god’s and how the world is ending. And how it will again recreate a new world? And then how they are ruling the country and safeguarding from the giant Loki and his children. Odin, Thor and Loki are the powerful characters in the Norse myth. Of course everyone will know them from Marvel series. But every god is great in his own identity. Odin, all father of the country takes care of the world with all the gods. Loki is a mischief maker.. He himself will create all the evils and problems as well as find the solution for the problems because of Thor’s bashing. Thor is also a powerful character in Norse and he will identify each and every action of Loki and he also has solution for Loki’s problem. Thor becomes powerful because of his hammer. Neil explains about Norse myths through these original characters.

The most important thing one can learn is that every problem has a solution in it. Likewise, the narrator explores his ideas through this and later he finds the solution. But it is not only a normal novel it expresses high values of North Germanic people’s life style. Through this novel Neil Gaiman preserves and shows the old tradition to the modern people. Modern people understand the story of Ragnarok through his work. I would like to give 4.5 out of five. Even though Thor is powerful, the narrator gives the same highness to Loki’s character. Always gods are different from the giant even if they lived in the place of God’s …..because of this only I have given 4.5.
